OUCH!!!!

Jon G, John M, Jeff and Charlie were headed South. On manchester we heard a loud noise, looking back to see Charlie sailing through the air. Seeing him writhing in Pain Jeff road back and got the truck while Jon and John continued their 48 mile ride. Charlie went to emergency with a broken collarbone. Other than a little drama a great ride. Oh by the way, those of you who have not been coming Saturday you'll be glad to know John M. got a new pair of shorts today!

National ride to work day

In honor of this special day Jon and Jeff took the train to Irvine to meet John M. and ride home from his work.. I told Jeff it was only 50 miles and at that I had to twist his arm. If I would of told him the truth that it was 65 he never would of gone. Dean met us in Carlsbad to pull us home. We had headwind the whole ride and I couldn't draft because of the condition of John M.'s shorts. Just way too much info showing.

Ready to ride

Hey proven winners! It been a rough couple of months for me with tax season and the move. I missed so many weeks, I will be the caboose on the next few rides. If you come my way, Coast Highway at Poinsettia, and need either a power bar, a drink, or a tag along call me and I will meet you. I'm eager to ride again. On a future Saturday I want to take the coast to San Clemente. Any takers?

Todays ride

Nice easy ride to Oceanside pier. 30 miles of perfect cycling weather. We had The Bish, Charlie, Jeff and Jon. Tomorrow's ride 8:00 at Lone Jack to the top of Torrey Pines. So far we have Jon, Jeff and Charlie. Thursday also at 8:00 and Friday 7:30. On Saturday's ride I was in fourth position, bringing up the rear as usual riding through Elfin Forest. I watched a frightening scene unfold before me. A large dog bolted from the side of the road and almost rode through Scott Dyer's spokes, He swerved, the Bish swerved and Charlie was in full lockup doing a sideways drift. No one went down luckily.
