Todays OFFICIAL ride

There seemed to be multiple rides today with multiple times and meeting places. The OFFICIAL ride started at LONE JACK to at 11:00 due to an activity at church. John R and Dean at the front (A) team and Travis, John M. and Jon G. pulling up the rear (B-Team). The B- team was left to battle the 30mph (at least it felt like that) head wind on our own. We climbed 2638 feet over 32.5 miles. There's a rumor of a splinter group calling themselves the Calle Acervo Team. Any sympathizers with this group will be stripped of their Jersey and access to the blog. We will find you!
Sincerely the OFFICIAL Team Proven Winners
Bridges to Harbor
Didn't see the post from Russ so road solo from home to the harbor. Met Elijah as the harbor and did my best to stay in view of his rear and elbows. Saw Tim & Debbie Halverson riding! 41 for me today. What a perfect day to ride! Jonathan

Paving San Elijo

Rader's bike at shop
I'm still paying for getting water into my bearings. They are replacing my bottom bracket (crank) bearings. I'll be back in the saddle on Sat., but because of the Primary breakfast, I'll be going at 11:00 AM.

Not one, but
That's right, 2 flats from ONE pothole. I rode with Jonathan today, we did Elfin Forest in reverse. Only 28 miles but seemed a lot further.

John R, the good samaritan
John R, thanks for fixing my flat the other day. I ended up getting another flat at the market by RSF. Kim came to save the day. I don't have spare tubes for tomorrow, but I will bring my cell phone. Kim, don't go anywhere! Do tubes come in crates? That's three flats from two rides.
I can go at either time, but would prefer 8 to try out my so cal winter bike clothes. Those looking at the blog, post something to the comments to finalize the time.

Is it 8:00 or 8:30?
I'm planning on 8:00 tomorrow, Saturday morning, but I don't want to ride alone. What's official time?
Elijah has returned again!
He ran in front of the chariots, he ran me into the ground when training for marathons, and now he is doing it again on a bike! Welcome to the Proven Winners Bike Team, Elijah! Elijah is a name I coined for Russ in our past running days. If takes a flat to slow you down, then I am bringing the tacks!
8:00 AM tomorrow at the usual place.
Great work on the photos Jon G. I was behind everyone yesterday and it was a photo all those Proven Winners jersys grouped together. An inspring site. Lets do another group photo with some great back ground on one of our rides and make it the main photo on the blog.

Todays ride
Started at Lone Jack, with the whole group minus Dean and Jonathan. We did the Santaluz loop with the usual Morrison twist. Let's add a few miles and another hill (Torrey Pines) thank you John. Russ had a flat but had made special arrangements with John Rader to have his own personal mechanic for the ride. Russ never got his hands dirty. I know the next scheduled ride is Saturday at 8:30. If anybody but myself is riding tomorrow, please chime in. We had our guest rider today again with Ian joining us.
